Shifts in paradigms that govern the concepts and views of disability
Following nomination by the faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Ghent University nominated, Prof. Dr. Bernard Dan holds the Collen-Francqui Chair for 2022-2023.
Prof. Dan will present a series of lectures on the shifts in paradigms that govern the concepts and views of disability we use in clinical practice, research, and society. In this lecture, entitled Early detection and intervention in neurodevelopmental disabilities - are we there yet?, Prof. Dan will discuss the latest research and clinical practice trends related to the early detection and intervention possibilities of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Both the advantages and disadvantages of early detection/intervention will be discussed.
