Description

Research data management is an integral part of sound scientific research. It aims to allow for research data to be easy to find, understand, re-use, secure and sustainable.

Planning data management is the first step towards proper research data management, as it will allow to develop strategies on how to deal with research data during and after research (e.g. which data will be generated or re-used, where will data be stored, how will data be organized, how will documentation be done, how will data be shared), thereby saving time and gaining efficiency in the long run.

In this intro to DMPs, we will explain how research data management can be planned, how to write a data management plan (DMP) and which guidelines and regulations to comply with. 

The training is targeted to starting researchers that are or will be writing a DMP for their project or fellowship.
