Description

Love Data Week, an initiative dedicated to celebrating and empowering research data excellence! This year’s global theme is: “Whose Data Is It Anyway?”

At Ghent University, we are diving into the theme through the lens of the FAIR principles—making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. Our focus this week is on data repositories, which play a critical role in ensuring data is not only shared responsibly but also remains available and reusable across disciplines.

We kick off the Love Data Week by introducing you to data sharing using repositories and how the generic repository Zenodo can help to make your data FAIR. Next, expert repository managers will guide you through discipline-specific repositories tailored to specific research fields or data types, answering questions like:

This Love Data Week event will help you to make informed choices about where and how to share and enhance the FAIRness of your research outputs, amplifying their reach and reuse potential

This is an online event. You can register for one or more sessions.

LDW25 - Session 1: The FAIR principles and Ghent University Research Data Community in Zenodo

This session is open to researchers from all disciplines and serves as the first building block for all other sessions in Love Data Week. It introduces the FAIR principles—making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable—and provides practical guidance on applying them to your research.

The session also highlights the UGent Research Data Community in Zenodo, a versatile repository for sharing datasets and other research outputs. Zenodo is especially valuable for researchers whose data do not have a dedicated "home" in a discipline-specific repository, offering a trusted platform to ensure your data is FAIR and widely accessible.
