Public talk and discussion with renowned architect Carolyn steel on food and sustainability | Organised with support of Doctoral Schools UGent, Green Office Ghent and Oikos

Join us at this special public event, organised as part of a weeklong winter school on sustainability, and think with us about the future of both food and the ways we let it shape our lives and the world around us. After a lecture by Carolyn Steel, we will engage in a discussion on what ‘Sitopic thinking’ can mean in a Belgian context with coordinator of Oikos and co-chairman of the Green European Foundation Dirk Holemans. Afterwards there is also space for questions from the audience and winter school participants.

• The keynote and conversation will be held in English.

Publieke lezing en discussie met gerenommeerd architect Carolyn Steel over voedsel en duurzaamheid | Georganiseerd met steun van Doctoral Schools UGent, Green Office Ghent en Oikos

Jullie zijn van harte uitgenodigd voor deze publieke lezing georganiseerd als onderdeel van een winterschool over duurzaamheid om samen na te denken over de toekomst van voedsel en de manieren waarop voedsel ons leven en de wereld om ons vormgeeft. Na een lezing van Carolyn Steel gaan we in gesprek over wat ‘Sitopisch denken’ kan betekenen in een specifieke Belgische context met coördinator van Oikos en covoorzitter van de Green European Foundation Dirk Holemans. Na afloop is er ook ruimte voor vragen van het publiek en de deelnemers aan de winterschool.

• De keynote en het gesprek worden in het Engels gehouden.
