Panel discussion: Geopolitical shifts in Eastern Europe and Eurasia in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine: what implications for cooperating with these countries?

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has provoked profound geopolitical shifts in Eastern Europe and Eurasia. The ongoing war and its repercussions yield a myriad of outcomes, many of which remain unpredictable or unseen. These ramifications extend across various sectors,  and affect the business and civil society organizations operating within or in collaboration with the countries in these regions.

During this panel discussion, we will engage with representatives from the business and non-profit sectors, as well as policy-makers and Ghent University experts to explore the tangible consequences of these geopolitical shifts. We will also look into the broader impact of these shifts on the economies, societies, and regional and global roles of the countries concerned.
