This course aims to bring students to the frontier of research in international macroeconomics. It begins with a review of the canonical perfect foresight and RBC workhorse models of a small open economy, and then explores a number of topics relevant to understanding open economy models designed for the quantitative study of financial frictions, sovereign default, and nominal frictions. This course is designed primarily for graduate students or students who wish to pursue a PhD during their graduate studies. The course language is English.
