Documentary Screening: Eat More Trees (13:00-14:30)

In the afternoon, we screen the brand-new documentary Eat More Trees, a Belgian production by Arne Focketyn which is narrated by Maaike Cafmeyer (there will be English subtitles). The documentary premiered in February at the Ostend Film Festival, where it won the audience award.

The film explores one of the greatest challenges for our future: the rapidly declining availability of fertile agricultural soil. What happens if we completely exhaust our soils? The documentary outlines the potential consequences for food supply, ecosystems, and biodiversity, and highlights why this issue concerns us all.
