MIRAN 2026 — Mental Health Innovation Research Network: Connecting researchers to ignite fresh ideas for better mental health in Belgium

What to expect A two-day interactive research hackathon for PhD students, postdocs, senior academics, and applied researchers in mental health. You'll form interdisciplinary teams, work through two structured sprints, and pitch concrete research outputs to an expert jury.

Highlights

Keynote by Dr. Felix Bolinski (Trimbos Institute / WHO): "What will it take? Bridging the gap between mental health evidence and action" (Day 1)
Team pitch session & two hackathon sprints (Day 1 & 2)
Final pitch to an external jury (Day 2)
Reception and optional dinner in Ghent city centre (Day 1)

Day 1 starts at 1 PM, ends at 6 PM

Day 2 starts at 9:15 AM, ends at 3:45 PM
