Interdisciplinary Medical and Health Seminars
The IMHS of November 2026 is co-organized by the Department of Head and Skin and the Department of Public Health and Primary Care. The lecture is part of the research day of the Department of Head and Skin for which a separate registration link will be provided.
Professor Apostolos Tsiachristas (Health Economist, University of Oxford) will examine how economic evaluations can be applied to innovative care models within the context of value-based healthcare. The lecture will explore alternative approaches to assessing health economic outcomes beyond traditional cost-effectiveness, incorporating patient-centered outcomes, integrated care, and novel financing strategies. Drawing on his expertise, Professor Tsiachristas will provide actionable insights for clinicians, researchers, and policymakers seeking to design sustainable, value-driven healthcare systems.
