Following nomination by the faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Ghent University nominated, Prof. Dr. Bernard Dan holds the Collen-Francqui Chair for 2022-2023. 

Prof. Dan will present a series of lectures on the shifts in paradigms that govern the concepts and views of disability we use in clinical practice, research, and society. The series consists of 10 individual lectures. In this lecture, entitled Animal models for neurodevelopmental conditions – what do they teach us?, Prof. Dan will discuss the challenges and opportunities that animal modelled based research provides for understanding the underlying mechanisms of different neurodevelopmental conditions.
