Following nomination by the faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Ghent University nominated, Prof. Dr. Bernard Dan holds the Collen-Francqui Chair for 2022-2023.
Prof. Dan will present a series of lectures on the shifts in paradigms that govern the concepts and views of disability we use in clinical practice, research, and society. In this lecture entitled Do we need Cerebral Palsy?, Prof. Dan will visit the definition of Cerebral Palsy in an ongoing debate regarding the usefulness of this umbrella definition.
