An expanding body of research documents large social inequalities across the cancer continuum, spanning prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and palliative care. Yet most of this research is fragmented, focusing either on one stage or on one dimension of inequality. Prof. Sara Macdonald will take a broader, longitudinal perspective and reflect on the accumulation of inequities across the continuum while also highlighting the intersectionality of multiple forms of disadvantage.
