Every year the Department of Human Structure and Repair organises a research symposium. 
During this symposium, a research area within the department is highlighted. This year's theme is mechanobiology.
 
The Research Symposium will take place on Wednesday 27 March from 16:00 to 19:00.
 

• 16:00 Introduction to mechanobiology by Jolanda van Hengel (Department of Human Structure and Repair)
• 16:10 Disturbed mechanobiology: the primary driver of Marfan-related cardiomyopathy? by Jeffrey Aalders (Department of Human Structure and Repair)
• 16:25 Mechanobiology in models of arterial growth and remodelling – ongoing work by Patrick Segers (Department of Electronics and information systems)
• 16:40 Poster presentation
• 17:30 Material-driven in-situ cardiovascular regeneration, a mechanobiological perspective by Carlijn Bouten (Department of Biomedical Engineering Eindhoven University of Technology)
• 18:15 Poster award ceremony
• 18:30 Networking

We would also like to invite researchers from the Department to present a recent poster of their research during the break of the Research Symposium. Preferably, this poster has already been presented at a conference within the past two years. Presentation boards will be provided to hang the posters. If you wish to present a digital poster, you must provide your own computer/tablet. A committee will judge the posters. The best poster presentation wins a nice prize.
