As a researcher you are increasingly expected to make your publications openly available, both within and beyond the boundaries of the university. In your research as well as your academic career publishing open access can provide many advantages for you as well as for everyone who can freely read and build on your work.

In this online webinar we will discuss the basics of implementing open access to your publications, what to keep in mind regarding copyright and explain the open access criteria of Ghent University's policy on scholarly publishing. The session will focus on main benefits and challenges and provide you with the necessary skills to identify and select a suitable and reliable channel for sharing and publishing research results.
