Dear colleague,
You are cordially invited to register for this year's FEB Research Day that will take place on campus Tweekerken on May 22nd 2023.
Note that you are still expected to register for the general attendance even if you already registered to present a paper and/or a poster.
The Research Day will consist of both presentations and workshops. The workshops you will be able to choose from this year are:
Online repositories are an essential part of good Research Data Management and Open Science practices. They are a key infrastructure in making your data FAIR. For this session, we’ll be taking a closer look at what repositories actually are and what they offer to you as a researcher (as the benefits are multifold). Are you an early-stage researcher or a professor looking to evolve your skill set? Then this seminar is for you.
How to transform your scientific research and results into an attractive, accessible, engaging and structured story to the outside world. In this workshop you will learn how to prepare the story telling in a logical manner: think about your target audience and their needs; define your objective and key messages; organize your thoughts logically.
In this workshop you will learn how to communicate based on your values and needs and how to listen empathically. The focus will be on practicing these skills in a safe and playful context.
Interested in going abroad during your PhD for a foreign research stay? Several PhD students from our faculty will share their international experience in this workshop. Special attention is given to selecting a visiting university, collaborating with professors and other practicalities. You will also get the opportunity to ask specific and practical questions.
We are looking forward to welcoming you on the 22nd May.
